Black cherry and salvia. Soupy, short, and lacking cut. Perfectly fine, were it $9 entry-level Chianti...which it isn’t. Sadly, I’m expecting a lot of 2015s to be like this. #rufina #sangiovese #tuscany

Probably needs a few more years, but a classic example of Rufina Chianti.

Rufina worth reaching for. Tannins, acidity, fruit all playing a wonderful Symphony together! Had another bottle of this last night, & got a great floral character in the mid palate. Just enough complexity to keep the recipient engaged.

Surprisingly transparent - I’m used to much more color to Chianti and perhaps even more so from my preferred commune of Rufina. Still, classic flavors, and though I almost hate myself for saying this, it was pretty good with spicy pizza.

My favorite $15-20 Chianti over the last year or two. Always tasty, not too rustic, and not propped up with Cab or Merlot.
