Dark garnet with significant bricking around the edges. The nose was muted and had a little funk I had hoped would blow off. It really didn’t. There was an underlying note of cherry and vanilla but that was all I could find. The wine was clearly past it’s prime an by a significant amount of time. The palate was muted, stale and bland. Not offensive but just...blah. This one got away unfortunately.

Cherries, raspberries, blackberry balsamic vinegar. Some stewed tomato and tar. Hints of sweet tobacco and sweet spice. The alcohol seemed overly perceptible to me.
