Ruby red with a light-medium body and smooth on the palate. Red fruits dominate with persistent but not overpowering tannins. Overall a nice young wine from one of my favorite lesser-known DOCG's. It's nearly unrecognizable when compared with it's richer and more complex Riserva counterpart. Good to drink now or hold for a few years.
