Beautiful organic offering. This 2007 grows and grows in the glass! Wet cocoa powder, black olive, and blackest cherry notes run along a smooth topography of smooth black stones with an interlaced manzanilla sherry mesh.water-like mouthfeel thickens as if from becoming awash inside your mouth. Refined tannins against a razor smooth gessoed backdrop with black olive that drops a graphic line around the texture, pushing it upwards toward the thrilling olive and artichoke in finest olive oil ending, which laser-lines into a still tight finish.

Dec 24th, 2014Light-to-medium body; near-perfect acidity that goes beautifully with stuffed portobello mushrooms (spinach & ricotta stuffing). Nice, firm tannins and ripe cherries with anise, with the oak coming through at the end. A little earthy in a pleasant way pairs nicely with mushrooms. Would be GORGEOUS with mushroom risotto and asparagus. I imagine it would be beautiful with red meat, too. #pairwithfood

Past it’s peak and a little oxidized. Nonetheless, still enjoyable with a bowl of pasta.

May 4th, 2020Bought a half case of this babe...this is the third opening. Dry, leathery mouthfeel---definitively Tuscan. A hint of licorice and oak on the finish. Plus it's organic! We are SO green.

May 22nd, 2016Let this 2008 breathe for an hour and found good fruit and rounded tannins on the pallet and cherries and milk chocolate on the nose. Nice bottle.
