Fattoria Galardi
Terra di Lavoro Roccamonfina Aglianico Piedirosso
More rounded than other older bottles of this wine I've opened recently. The aglianico's typical tannins seem more buffered/polished. It helps to have paired it with delivery Italian that is richer than I usually cook at home.

May 3rd, 2020Very distinguished and structured. Thick and savory there’s smoke, rocks, dark fruit, saltiness. Quite cool blooded but there’s lighter floral notes at the edges. There’s a dry slight Souness to the finish. Poised and long. A very good wine.

Mar 7th, 2020I imagine this will improve some in the bottle but it’s pretty great right now. Bloody and juicy and complex and balanced. Lots of body but still refreshing.
