Superb!!!! Cherries, leather, and earth aroma. Complex taste. Very smooth with some subtle tannins.

2016. Damn good, even this young. 3+ hours of decanting opens focused red Sangiovese fruit and beginnings of leather and other complexities. Firm tannins, enough subtle acid and tartness (and unfortunately a hint of oak) to make it stand up to food. Should flesh out nicely in 2-4 years. $50 at Vine Republic.

Was excited to open this one up and it was a huge disappointment. Completely lacking in flavor and no finish whatsoever. Makes me wonder if I got a bad one.
