A perfectly balanced expression of the region. Cocoa nib quickly gives way to a deep dark cherry, leather and wet sandy clay. This is a strong wine, intense and dusty.

Restaurant (The Palm) was past its prime but the wine was awesome (if not wretchedly overpriced). Dried cherries, clove, menthol, pipe tobacco, and workshop leather.

Cherry, grape, deep dark fruits on the nose, medium to full bodied, tannic, nice balanced acidity, raisin finish. Paired excellently with burrata and finocchiana.
