Once again the ‘16s are drinking really nice now. Ripe black fruit on the nose. Getting blackberries, black cherries, and even some blueberry on the finish. Tannins really soft and delicate now. All coming together really nice at this point.

May 8th, 2023Been over a year since my last bottle of the ‘16. Big black cherry and oak nose. Tannins softened up, almost silky. Ripe black cherry. Really drinking smooth now. Very enjoyable.

Oct 23rd, 2022Earthy, black cherry, toasted oak, tobacco are prominent. Red fruit also. Ripe prominent fruit gives way to a still strong tannic structure. Decanted an hour. Very smooth yet complex. Tannins need more time to soften up a bit to enter its prime.
