Dark red clear color; dark small near-dried fruits on the nose plus peppery and savoury notes with a touch of oak and tobacco; in the mouth it is correct and true to the region with robust but fine tannins, high alcohol, and a dark ripe fruit profile - accompanied by an interesting green bell pepper note and tobacco leaves. However, the acid level is lower than low and this makes the wine dull. I expected more from a "famille" like this, even though -13 was a difficult vintage.

Oct 7th, 2016Plummy, earthy, and only mildly tannic. Excellent chateauneuf.

Aug 12th, 2018Super tight at first and only that big Syrah taste was present. But with just a little time, she opened right up. Bright plumb, black raspberries, and some light spices. Mild acid and medium tannins. A nice, solid finish. #bastilleday #wine #france

Jul 15th, 2017Needs 3 hours decanting before opening up. On the nose dark flours and light oak at first, later strawberries. On the palate light to medium bodied, complex notes from strawberry to light tobacco. Well balanced with nice acid structure. Could Åge a few more years. Like it!
