Tobacco, stewed fruit, eucalyptus, spices, absolutely fabulous!

Just phenomenal. Nose filled with earth and tar. Palette is so elegant Just a perfect Chateauneuf.

Give this a long decant, poured after a day upright. I found it quite closed after a few hours of slow ox. Barely any nose. Rigid, grippy tannins. I’ve found Beaucastel best at >15 years old. A nice quaff, don’t get me wrong!

We had the 2012 Vintage on 4/25-26/20. A terrific wine with tastes of blackberry, plum, kirsch, licorice and spice. A full bodied, fruit forward wine with a long finish. Ready to drink right out of the bottle.
