Powerful wine, full of body. More of a northern style, with rich, deep color, a complex nose with notes of black fruit, cocoa, tobacco, & spices. The mouth is full bodied with rich, soft tannins. This wine can only be described as luscious! I loved it.

Mar 14th, 2020Decanted for a hour, not quite as approachable now as previous vintages, this is very good and shows promise after more aging. Black fruit, licorice, violet, and vanilla. Perfect for Halloween and roast beef sandwiches.

Raspberry nose. Bright and tangy red fruit on the palate with white pepper and minerals. The best part is the long acid finish with cranberry notes.

Really enjoyed this one. Paired with Ojai CA Rib Eyes on the BBQ. Silky, like a warm hug from an old lover. Opened up after an hour in decanter #2013 a group favorite for the night.

May 8th, 201817/20 (92/100) Красивый и насыщенный аромат с нотами черники, чернослива, кожи, копчёностей и множества разных специй. Тельное с достаточно высокой кислотностью и спиртуозностью. Танины интенсивные, чуть шероховатые. Вкус соответствует аромату. Отлично!
