Love this wine but I will admit 2020 is not as strong as other vintages. Nose is lovely with violets, dark cranberries, berry fruit and lots of smoke and minerals. Palate is lush but also had a major mineral spines Good freshness and purity but the heat of 2020 is showing in that it’s not hot but it’s also not as focused as it could be. Maybe air will help.
DAY 3 update: Wow did this need air. Gorgeous purity and freshness and stunning minerality. 9.1 to 9.3.

As authentic and old school as it gets. Nose is cassis, wild herbs, dusty tweed, a graves vibe almost, so earthy, I love it. Palate is juicy and clean with the classic Gamot rustic edge. Gorgeous, clearly defined red and purple fruits surrounded with dry earth and leather. Elegant and complex with a firm structure and outstanding length. A great bottle.
This went from 9.5 to 9.6 on day. Gained an irresistible creaminess and didn’t lose any edge. Got more elegant. This is world class wine.

Excellent $23 wine again, impeccable balance, great elegance to the palate. Elderberries and plum with woods and tilled earth to the front, well-balanced alcohol and acidity. Excellent terrior wine and value

Old school meets suavé. Very cherry on the nose initially with red and black fruits mixed. Earth, leather,
Nice cocoa on the palate against lemon on short ribs. Multi faceted, easy, maybe too easy. Do not be deceived, this is A+ vino. It’s like the old world popped its head into the new. Deliciousness!

Savory delight - currants, garrigue, tannins. Developing but seemingly early stage even at 15 years. Gastronomic and a terrific pairing with regional foods (braised Toulouse sausages & beans). Perfect provenance for this library release from Fass Selections @Lyle Fass
