Very good OR Pinot. Well integrated mix of fruit and barrel flavors, blackberries, black cherry. Ripe and focused tannins. Delicious.

1 person found it helpfulOct 9th, 2018I’m absolutely loving the 2016 vintage in Willamette, which appears to be the inaugural vintage for Failla in an appellation blend. I don’t know anything about the assemblage but this is high-quality fruit. Beautifully crafted Pinot Noir showing generous fruit and structure but managing to stay light on its feet. Violets, black cherries, smoke, sandalwood, gravel. Classic savory character. These wines continue to impress me with their intensity and finesse.

Drank for mom’s 80th birthday. Really good balance of fruit and earthiness. Very smooth and good finish length. Blueberry, raspberry, cherry.
