Lovely, feet in the NW with its head in the OW, like so many of Failla’s wines are. Shows a touch more exotic fruit on the nose and palate, nothing over the top though. Oak treatment is integrated, the wine is beginning to drop its succulent fruit in exchange for some more savory/mineral aspects.

Citrus and lemongrass on the nose. Bright acidity. Honey, lemon, wet stone. A bit burgundian.

“Citrus, lemongrass, honey and wet stone” was someone else’s summary and that nails it. Really nice. New find for me.

After a hot day in VT, a bike ride, and some wood cutting, the porch and this are a match made in heaven. This beautifully approachable Chardonnay shows a slightly oaky finish but starts with fresh lemon, apple and even peach. Thank you again @Ehren Jordan
