I can confirm that even after pregnancy and giving birth that I still love Chardonnay!

We dipped into the cellar for this one as I was feeling like something a little special. We picked up a case of this Evans & Tate 2010 Redbrook Chardonnay from WA’s Margaret River a number of years ago and we’re are now down to our last bottles 😱.

In fact according to my cellar management app (Oeno by Vintec - a great app that I’d highly recommend!) we have one left.

We cracked it open and had a picnic on the couch with all the cold meats and soft cheeses I couldn’t eat throughout my pregnancy 👌👌

In the glass it’s the colour of liquid gold. On the nose it makes me think of camomile, fresh citrus rind, juicy melon balls, white flowers and just picked peaches. While in the mouth there’s still some nice juicy acidity in there with refreshing nectarine and old fashioned lemonade spiked with vanilla flavours. Mellow and smooth.

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!

We cracked this Evans & Tate 2010 Redbrook Chardonnay from the Margaret River on Thursday for #ChardonnayDay. What a treat!

In the glass it has a beautiful 24 carat gold shine to it. While on the nose it’s full of toasted almonds, cream and spiced pears. In the mouth it’s super smooth and creamy with mango and citrus and a hint of marmalade standing out for me. Mmmmm!

Reserve version. shy nose. Fresh and young and dry. Wet rock. Linear. Needs to fatten up.

I felt like a bottle of great wine on Sunday night to go with a blue cheese & spinach fettuccine I was making so I went into our 'cellar' and came out with this bottle of 2010 Redbrook Chardonnay from Evans & Tate - I knew it would live up to my expectations with ease.

On the eye it's a brilliant golden yellow hue with aromas of salty butter, pastry, pineapple and mango - I could smell it for days! In the mouth it was über creamy with vanilla pod, preserved lemons and a touch of baking spice coming through. The finish went on and on and on. An absolutely enjoyable Chardy down to the very last drop.

Also it went well with the pasta - both elements were equally flavoursome and didn't over power one another 👌
