Lemon, golden delicious, toast, brûlée, gardenia. Light on the palate. Pretty. Good value.

Just Tried the ‘16, 100% Chardonnay but doesn't taste like one. When you see Chard on the label you already expect a certain taste, but it is somewhere resembling a cross between a Viognier, Riesling and Gruner. Wine spent 3 months in the tank on Viognier lees and another 3 months on oak. Aromas of tropical fruits, notes of honey and sweet spice. On the palate peach and honey flavors, no noticeable oak and low acidity. Full-body, creamy ending. Nice value, worth a try.

A supremely well balanced 100% Chardonnay that noticably improved after warming to just below room temperature. Fresh pear, yellow apple and citrus blossum on the nose. These fresh flavors continue onto the pallate but are joined with some richness & minerality in the form of creme fraîche and a hint of crushed gravel. Paired outstanding with a grilled chicken tomato basil quinoa salad. Overall stellar for the price, wish I had bought more than one at Costco! ($8) [10/2/18]

Seen lots of fanfare over this wine as of late. RParker gave this a 92 and said it reminded him of Mark Aubert’s Chardonnays. High praise indeed. I found this for $13 and figured it was worth rolling the dice for.

Significantly better closer to room temp than cellar temp. Adds some richness to it. Peach, limestone, chalk, with faint toasted brioche on the nose. Front and mid palate have some honeyed fruits and an orange marmalade type note. The finish is quite tart and acidic, with a lengthy last taste though just a tad thin. Hard not to take price in to consideration and because of that, this is pretty impressive...probably the best Chardonnay I’ve had under $15.

Young but enjoyable and even surprising: not your typical chardonnay. Hardly any hint of butter, very round and fruity. Would be curious to find out how it ages... from southern France near Perpignan, so presumably had a lot of sun. This shone with blue cheese.
