At first somewhat shy and unleashed, but with and hour in the decanter and some time in the glass the curtains fall and the shows begin. Ripe but taut fruit profile and well placed and balanced secondary aromas with a neat supporting oak profile is proving the good craftsmanship from a great wine maker.

A young and awkward #whiteburgundy Medium intensity and complexity on the nose. The palate's structure was driven by high acid. The fruit was on the unripe side. There was a strong white pepper characteristic. The length was surprisingly long. Needs a couple years to balance out. #etiennesauzet #pulignymontrachet #burgundy #cotedebeaune #chardonnay #ctbucklinwine

Not sure what to make of this bottle. It was shy on opening and unfurled over a couple of hours to a pleasing Chardonnay that did little to offend or inspire.

Too young. Needs a few years at least. Opened up nicely after 1-1-.5 hours. Clean, rich oak character. Slight smoky stoniness. Good buy but forget about it for a few years.
