Excellent balanced Pinot from NZ and not the typical fruit profile down there. Stellar winemaker who has a knack for finer or subtle handling than typical jammed efforts. Love it.

Halloween dinner wine with DH. Mistook this for the Oregon Pinot with similar label. So first taste of this. Excellent balanced Pinot with cherry red fruits and good dose of minerals and earth. Complex and lively on palate with good acidic finish. Paired really well with spam Kim Chee fried rice! Interesting back story of blind Asian winemaker with largest knife collection in NZ. JL purchase. One more to leave for further aging.

Nice Otago Pinot. Not sure why the pros are knocking it. A little more brash than a burgundy but drinks well.
