Deep, bright-rimmed violet. Potent, spice-accented red and blue fruit preserve, floral and baking spice scents and a hint of vanilla. Juicy, energetic and sharply focused on the palate, offering appealingly sweet boysenberry and cherry cola flavors and a spicy jolt of cracked pepper. The floral note comes back strong on a persistent finish that features a resonating blue fruit note and smooth, even tannins. 81% raised in French oak barrels of varying size, 28% of them new, and 19% in concrete tulips. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, July 2022)

More tannic than Sensibilty, it’s more of a GMS than a GSM

Snagged this on an impromptu visit to Epoch several months ago. I remember it being a favorite with its healthy dollop of Mourvedre yet considerably tight, this is much more open. Tannins still run a little coarse and oak heavy, but that beautiful black and blue fruit is hitting its stride. There’s a lot of exotic and sweet spice notes balanced by earthier notes of sage brush, pine forest, volcanic rocks. It carries weight yet some nice lift too given how much ballast is here. Not a style I reach for often but enjoying this 49 GR 34 MV 17 SY

Tight tannins that feel like they have not opened up all the way. Nice touch of oak with moderate red fruit.

Leathery and fleshy, big and bold for a GMS. 15.9% ABV but nicely balanced despite the high alcohol.

Disappointed. Alcohol-infused, super-charged fruit dominate the aromas and flavors, but it lacks freshness, becoming heavy on the finish, where the lofty alcohol becomes overwhelming.

Another great Paso send off...a tad sweet on the finish though soft and floral the grenache really comes through. Easy yummy drinking
