Doesn’t bowl you over with concentration but Enfield is all about subtlety and balance. Green apple, pear, slightly bitter lemon finish, not a whiff of butter or vanilla or toast in sight

Mag. My kind of Cali chard. Some oak textural creaminess but no barrel flavor to interfere with the purity of the lemon, golden orchard fruit, crushed stones and acacia honey.

I say, “Damn!” Consistent with last note, but an extra year makes a positive difference.

I literally gave up on domestic Chardonnay...but I love the flavor profile—Tart, juicy Granny Smith and ripe sweet pear. No discernible oak, light crisp acid/ fruit balance and ABV under 13. What a food wine! Every time I pop an Enfield, I congratulate myself on my perspicuity and good sense. It’s not hard to drink well, just ignore the big names and hype.

John Lockwood is producing one of my favorite domestic Chardonnay. Lemony, stony, some peach, and a hint of thyme. Hardly a note of oak.

Why did it take me so long to try an Enfield white? Acid with a tiny dab of cream, it's electrifying and soothing in a single sip.

First wine of 16 is one of my favorites from prior years. Salinity, lemon zest, and good acid.

Fully on skin ferm. But don't fear, for this is finesse. Great aroma, balance and a creamy texture.
