Reserva Somontano Cabernet Sauvignon

Very crunchy and green, and an all around solid showing

A well made Cabernet. Felt a bit mature in some ways, but dark fruit driven, soft tannins and lots of liquorice.

Nariz: ciruela madura, pasas, cuero, regaliz, chocolate. Aroma muy elegante , muestra evolución y aromas terciarios. No tiene la nariz típica de un cabernet.

Boca: en boca algo de pimiento verde que caracteriza el cabernet, seco, tanino M/M+ ya integrados, acidez M, alcohol M+. Buen vino, comprado en liquidación.

Vintage 2009 - stinking in smell, tough taste is good

Really can't believe this was 100% Cab. Sauv. So apparently this winery only plants and produces traditional french grapes and they obviously make them well. To replace the LAN big boy. 90pts/Grape Ex/425

Yesterday the nose off a cavy in a animal store and the taste off sawdust. Today is the nose more elegant and there is more fruit in the taste. But overall no pleasure because the tannins are so dryyyyyyyyyyyyy .....

Rosado

2008, unbelievable tannins. Heavy pomegranate, figs and hint of grass. Spanish Cab! Would try again.

It’s always bitter sweet opening my last bottle of this ten year old esoteric Spanish red. Very nice on the palate with dark fruit, earthy tones, good balance and a velvety feel.

This is a solid cab. Good ruby color with red fruit plus rustic, meat and blood tertiary scents. The fore pallet is full with black cherry, blackberry, plum, vanilla. The mid pallet follows with hints of earth and smoke. The finish is dry, lingering, with well integrated tannings. This is great, great value cab, I’ll take this any day for twenty some odd bucks, just awesome everyday table wine. Cheers.
