Lights out. Incredibly dense mid palate with brighter berry flavors. Incredible concentration with insane elegance and a nose! Would never guess this to be a hot year.

The best vintage of the #90s is finally coming around and the long wait has been well worth it...this is one of the last vintages presided over by #Rouget's cousin Henri Jayer and the results are spectacular!
It's drinking beautifully with all the depth and power one expects from a Grand Cru Côte de Nuits and it can hold this glorious pattern at least another decade--BRAVO!!!

Yes, life could be worse. Showing very ripe and forward on this leaf day. Bold and juicy 1999 fruit meets Echezaux's classic earthiness meets the humanistic but precise Rouget. Gorgeous wine.

Robust w a gorgeously complex nose. All the fineness of a Rouget/Jayer production while keeping its country soul. Earthiness of Ech humming in the background.
