Revisiting the vintage; my previous tasting foxed me as I couldn’t figure out what was going on with the winemaking behind it. Good fruit, almost crisp, largely smooth mouthfeel but just too much wood for me, apparently. Nice mineral finish, though. So close to being really fine... but no.

125 cases made. Bought this at the opening of their tasting room. Pale yellow white, excellent clarity. Beechwood, cedar notes in nose, possibly flawed but not certain. Creamy, light lemon and stone fruit flavors, rounded mouthfeel, light and lively though flavors are subdued. Mild skin astringency. Definitely some wood in there but not all that much. Good grapes though. Better drinking than smelling, but somewhat of a mystery to me what exactly is going on here.

A nice neutral French oak Chardonnay. Nice mellow, pear, hazelnut finish.

Simple, straight, unoaked Chardonnay. Enjoyed a tasting at the winery with Kathleen, Josie and Jay Barton, Jenny Rhodes. Glorious setting on a mild, sunny days.

Delicious. Lots of crisp, cold weather white fruits and apples. What really makes this wine stand out is the mix of inorganic/slate notes and the funky brett! Almost tastes like a wild yeast/Belgian hops. A refreshing change for a new world Chardonnay. Wish there was more available for purchase!

I’m not a traditional Chard girl so this was a pleasantly surprising gift. Held up in an open bottle quite well over 2 days. Would totally drink this again!

Very light, lots of citrus and acid, balanced with some oak. No where near an oak bomb, this is a refined, subtle Chardonnay that I much enjoyed.
