Oloroso Pata de Gallina Sherry

Medium amber; medium plus intensity aldehydic aromas of pecans, caramel, nuts, butterscotch, saline, briny, smoky; dry, medium acid, medium body, medium plus intensity flavors of nuts, caramel, pecans, butterscotch, smoke; concentrated flavors, long finish

Dark amber/caramel in color. Spices, caramel aromas, very polished and mouthwatering acids, long finish with dryness and pecans to round it all off. All the wines blended are from the same solera. Very complex, great stuff. 20% ABV. 500ml bottle.

Hinting sweetness without ever getting there. Spectacular acid, just a real treat.

I want porchetta

A pleasant and well-balanced Sherry. Medium bodied and a touch of sweetness. Perfect for a fall night with roasted chicken. Carly likes.

Interesting bottle of Oloroso from the Lustau Almacenista bottlings, intense notes of dates and walnuts, while being bone dry, but it really comes to the fore with a bit of tapas, which softens and sweetens the sherry. Highly complex and fantastic to drink.
