Toasty, nutty, and caramelized, dried figs, salted walnuts, toffee, savory; solid and classic

Walnuts and hazelnuts. Still some of that saline character too.

My rating is for the overall of today’s Sherry masterclass flight.
I’ve been introduced to a whole new world.

4 years of biological aging filled by another four years of aging after the yeast kill. Hazelnut. Great pairing for game.

Wonderful aromas and flavors of bread dough, nuts, raisins, caramel

Clear medium amber; medium intensity aldehydic aromas of dried orange peel, candied fruit, cloves, yeasty dough, caramel, hazelnut, tobacco, cedar, toast; dry, medium acid, medium alcohol, medium body, medium intensity flavors of butterscotch, caramel, cedar, tobacco, toast, spiced orange peel, medium plus finish; very good due to complex layering of flavors

First sherry

Resembles whisky. Hazelnuts and spices

Caramel, honey, praline. Good acidity with a long and savory finish. 18.5% abv.

Shows quite a bit hot for amontillado. Not Lustau’s best.
