Mar 19th, 2019Light ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Fruity nose of blueberries, strawberries, cherries, raspberries, wood, licorice, light barnyard, milk chocolates, tobacco and black pepper.
Light to medium in body and smooth, with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with blueberries, raspberries, black currants, oak, licorice, vanilla, spices, pencil lead, leather, earth, spices and peppercorn.
Long finish with round tannins and tangy cranberries.
This is a nice surprise. I expected a big wine but this was gentle with a great mouthfeel, nice complexity and balance. Reminds me of new world Pinot Noir. Very fruity.
This is not my usual drinker, but I really enjoyed it.
Needed an hour to open up properly and show some tannins, and that wonderful nose. Became bitter after a couple of hours, which I didn't like.
14.3% alcohol by volume.
88 points.

Marshmallow middle makes my mouth mellow. As the sip spreads it's all lofty foam breaking over the cliff of my tongue. Some of the wave cap residue lingering with a chiffon of the most potent part of the sip. Petrol, spice, aperol, raspberry stem are some other hints I detect. An enjoyable wine but with a little more heat than I like.

Light ruby red. Spicy nose to start with black pepper but has a delicate floral side (roses) as well. Some nice amount of red berries as well, such as strawberries and raspberries. Moderate tannins (5/10) and moderate acidity (7/10). Palate has layers of strawberries and a little peppery kick near the back. Light bodied with a medium finish. Drink till 2019.
