Showing some subtle age characters though lovely balanced fruit with flowers and spice - drinking well

Much goodness here, but also too much stewed fruit at this point. Beautiful tannin and wood integration, and the savory notes are on point. If I had a second bottle, I'm 60 percent sure I'd wait five years and hope for a better fruit outcome. 40 percent of me says drink before more stew comes.

2004 - Firing on all cylinders, supple red fruits are propped up with wonderful acidity, rose petals, anise, and a touch is tar.

Wonderful balance. Rose petals and delicate floral notes on the nose. Tart cranberry showing little age in the glass but tannins are starting to soften. Brought from our tasting at the winery with Mrs. Grasso

I'm not a consistent Barolo lover but this is fun, complex and gets better and changes as it opens up. A definite winner.
