Giàrborina Langhe Nebbiolo
An marvelous example of 2016 vintage. This non-Barolo-Barolo shows the elegance and grace of the 2016s tannins. Captivating and alluring immediately on the palate the nose opens slightly slower but blooms quick enough into great fruit and rose to violet tar. Very impressive and showed age extremely well.

Nov 17th, 2020Still closed after a two hour decant but opened up in glass over dinner. Next day was brilliant. Light to medium body, very pretty, silky, floral, red fruit, balsamic notes. Cleary young. This is not the Nebbiolo to pair with a rib eye, more like the one for fish. For me, it is in my sweet spot.

Aug 4th, 2020Garnet to pink rim, clear and bright. Soft fragrant rose petals, baked cherry vanilla biscuit, closing out with a hint of licorice. Some nuttiness on the palate, with persistent alcohol-warmed cherries midway. Tart and grippy tannic finish. More bottle life awaits. Very very enjoyable, bringing back memories of La Morra last summer. Looking forward to our return to Piedmont!

Sylvia and fellow crop of woman winemaker should be sequel to Barolo Boys. 100% nebbiolo. Tart rusty taste. Fiat workers used to take the wrong turn and bought wine from her father in the 70s
