Arborina Barolo Nebbiolo

This is utterly dreamy stuff. One of the best Barolo I have ever tasted and with 28 years of age on it, I would still recommend waiting another decade. Decadent ripe fruit of the nose with a hint of tangerine skin and pomegranate. This is absolutely beautiful in every way. So glad I opened this. Down to the last drop and the only wine we actually finished on this night

Altare was really singing after about 3 hours. Beautiful evolution of this classic Barolo which was really a treat.

A special pull from the cellar... nice markered in 1999 on the 98' label. This was drinking much more integrated and harmonious than previous vintages... especially compared to 04 brunate which has an awkward stage of ripe syrupy fruit and oxidative acidity.

Toasty big, dried fruit, tanic, fresh. Fantastic, could've gone much longer but still delicious

Fantastic barolo. Roses and rosemary . Went perfect with my marinated skirt steak. The pound cake made this one taste like a chocolate truffle dusted with dark cocao!!
