Red cherry fruit, maybe tobacco and black pepper nose. I question if this wine finished malolactic fermentation. On the palate, there’s a strong metallic, aluminum foil taste, partnered with tart, bitter cherry, and citric acid. Unfortunately this is a dumper, as in down the sink. Bitter, austere, and frankly unenjoyable. The first swing and miss of the #garyveewineclub

Really not a fan. Kind of reminded me of soda mixed with cranberry-grape juice.

#garyveewineclub old vine grenache. Fresh and juicy, with berries, herbs, and a touch of spice. Lightly colored and reductive in style. With its soft tannins, the wine pairs great with aggressively spiced Latin food.
