I’m a bit jaded and it takes a lot to wow me but this wine stopped me in my tracks. Stunning. I was going to add it to the champagne thread but it deserves its own. Sarah and others have touted this wine. Rightfully so. Guys at the Wine Ex used to call it affectionately “Ugly Idiot,” and it’s anything but.
Color is very light pink, lighter than many rosés but nose is full and even explosive. Reminds me of the Dujac equivalent of champagne. On the palate, the red fruits are amazing. Layers of high-toned strawberry, incredibly juicy, with lift. Not at all oxidative, Clean and fresh, it is gorgeous wine. Very intense. Very long. Very fine indeed.
