Edna Valley Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 $15. Dark red with black fruit aromas and herb spice. On the palate dark berry flavors with sweet spice, cacao and racy acidity. Fine, yet firm tannins carry the fruit to a medium ending with a mineral finish.

A light Cabernet that's wet on the palate at first but finishes dry. Feels more like a noir for me. Subtle hints of blackberry, nothing overwhelming about this one. Priced at $15.99 normally, bought on sale for 13.99. Would not buy again

Nice wine to pair with a good steak. Shared with Danny and Lauren when they came up to visit.

Monday night $5 closeout face off. $65 total list, with current retail around $50.

A good example on why mixing over-ripe and under-ripe fruit only results in what's bad about both. This is drinkable, but the sweet green streak will be what you keep coming back to.

Not bad! Very drinkable but not a full bodied Cabernet. Would drink but won’t buy again. There are much better cabs in the same or even lower price point
