4th Friday of the month means Classic Wine Storage happy hour! Great wines, as always, today!

I LOVE this wine! I’ve had the β€˜12 courtesy of
@Martin G Rivard and it is so delicious. This β€˜11 that Mark opened is just as good and at a better spot for opening. Not as black in the glass as the β€˜12, I think the vintage allowed it some restraint as it showed very surprising acidity and secondary notes. Blackberries, blueberries and Mexican vanilla were there, but didn’t dominate. One of the best mixed blacks out there, in my opinion!

Thick and juicy lots from the herb garden, very much enjoyed, like most Reds from Rudd, one does not gulp

A group of guys decided to meet up at our Wine Storage facility and bust out some unique bottles! Scores and notes to follow!

I have two of these courtesy of the man, the myth, the legend,
@Martin G Rivard . WOW. Out of the 15+ wines that were opened tonight, this was easily in the top half, if not near the top 5. Intoxicating nose. Cork was basically black. Blueberry compote and blackberry preserves on the nose. Vanilla and plum finish. Hands down the best mixed black wine I've tasted to date. Martin, THANK YOU!

A big, bold, badass wine. Extracted red fruits, black cherries, vanilla, cloves. This is super smooth and silky - the texture of the wine is incredible. It is drinking perfectly now and has many years ahead of it. Thanks to @Martin G Rivard for sharing this incredible wine with me. We love it!

The nose is dense and rich with jam compote, nutmeg with a hint of barrel toast. The aromatics gently merge into the palette. Rich dark maraschino cherries meld with spice box. Tannins are still quite ripe and need more time to relax. Nice mid-palette persistence. A dry finish comes along for the ride. This is a classic clone of a Bdx blend. An excellent showing, which should improve with age.

@Martin G Rivard - We can't thank you enuf for this gem!

12' Edge Hill Field Blend Mixed Blacks 15% ALC. This could possible be one of the darkest wine I've ever poured. It's black. I decanted this for almost 4 hours. The edges have a dark ruby red color to them now.
The nose is almost all blackberries with a touch of lavender. The front of the palate is licorice & oak. The middle/ back of the palate- blackberries, beef jerky, little sweet dark chocolate. This is a powerhouse of a wine. AllπŸ’ͺ with hearty, semi-sweet tannins. The acidity/fruit/tannins are all(BIG)& balanced. What a great wine!

Food pairings? Porterhouse steak/ribeye medium rareπŸ‘Œstuffed peppers!?! You could "almost" service with dessert (black forest cake?) just a thought. Cheers everybody!

Now I've got to go take a Brillo pad to my teethπŸ˜‹. Whitening strips?😬 I want to thank my good friend
@Martin G Rivard for such a great wine!! Thanks again buddy.
