Blend of 50% Syrah, 40% Grenache & 10% Mourvèdre with fruit forward aromas of berries and spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry and cherry with smoke and savory spice. Medium+ finish, racy tannins ending with earthy herbs. Great value, tasting well, consistent quality.

Had the first of a dozen nearly 2 years ago (97 weeks ago) and that Delectable note and the description still stands. Now having the last of a dozen this must be the best midweek quaffer on the planet and an annual purchase for me. As I said then “quaffable and smashable”. Once I had a bottle I had cellared for 10 years which showed there was basically no change.

This is the first of several benchmark wines I will be trying over the next several months. Lots of pepper and spice. Well integrated tannins with a lingering finish. Lovely.
