Needs an hour to breathe, then shows opulent black cherry on a silky palate with ripe tannins and along finish. Elegant and wonderful

Finally... The balcony is open.
Very tight on open.
After an hour or so, red fruit--cherry-- nice bouquet a little ouzo on the nose pairing nicely with several mild to medium cheeses. Good, not blown away.

Moderate ruby red with prominent aromas of black cherry, licorice, and garrigue accompanied by subtle meatiness and hints of smoke. Medium bodied on the palate, it offers flavors of mineral infused cherry liqueur and finishes with silky tannins. It’s made from a blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, and 10% Mourvèdre which spent 24 months in large oak foudres before bottling. This is a great example of this wonderful vintage at a reasonable price and it’s drinking very well now. $45.
