Estate Grown Stout Vineyard Merlot

Delicious merlot. Was too busy making s'mores to capture any real notes.

Killer! Very old world style merlot, with a hint of barnyard funk and tobacco. Figures, since it's coming from Howell Mountain.

I smell alcohol, oak spices, red & black fruit, dried leaves, cranberry pie. >14.5%. Stout Vineyard up on the Howell Mountain at 2000 feet elevation. Elevated acidity, med+/elevated tannins felt mostly at the back of the gum. Med finish.

Earthy, cola flavors. Paired reasonably well with poultry. I’m not sure if I would indulge again.

2009 is really tasting great. Very smooth, velvet, blackberry, dark chocolate

Sooooo good.

Opened and let breathe in the bottle for 3-4 hours. Fantastic merlot. 92+

Lovely with ribeye. A few more years and it will be even better

Molasses and chocolate, earthier

Acidic, but smooth. If that's a thing.
