Drinkward Peschon
"Entre Deux Mères" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
This wine is a firm favourite in our house. This bottle of the 2016 was much less expressive than the previous. Still mocha and cherries but a little tired this time round. Guessing it was just an awkward time because the other bottle we had earlier in the year was a stunner.

Dec 6th, 2020Just fabulous. One of the best vintages yet. Dark, vibrant and full of character. One of the finest values in all of Napa Valley... 💥🔥🤪😍. Tasted during the Vinous Learn class on Undiscovered Napa Valley...

Aug 9th, 20202014 Drinkward Peschon Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. Decanted for 90 minutes. Blackcurrent, graphite one the nose.
Color- Deep garnet.
Palate- Blackberries, blackcurrent, moderate spices throughout the glass. 2nd taste reveals- Licorice, baking chocolate, modest oak, splash of earthiness. Lingers for a bit. Better in a few more years. Drink over the next 10+ years.

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Entre Deux Mères is a gorgeous, inviting wine. Blackberry jam, lavender, spice, menthol and licorice are all pushed forward in this racy, succulent Cabernet Sauvignon. Touches of rose petal, mint and lavender add further shades of nuance over time. The 2015 spent 22 months in oak, 50% new. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, May 2019)

Sep 20th, 2019The 2013 beast 🐻 is starting to emerge from hibernation, but hasn’t fully woken up yet. Tannins have softened but are still firm and cut through a steak with ease. Fruit still fresh and lifted, bright and preserved by present acidity. Very good, but will only get better.

Apr 7th, 2018This is a dark profiled, very giving, somewhat complex, medium bodied wine that is utterly distinctly Napa Cab, in the best way possible. Decent value too.

Mar 28th, 2018Most vintages of this wine are great pop and pour candidates but this one really benefitted from some time in the decanter. Both the tannins and the acid are strong. Nice flavors of raspberry, cola, baking spices and vanilla with mineral notes on the finish.

Mar 18th, 2018Young yes but this is a terrific bottle of wine especially for the cost. Best in 5 years but full of fruit and not overoaked. Good job ladies.
