Good complexity with almond paste, lime, chamomile, biscuits and vigorous lemon bubble. Good but a bit disjoint by high acidity and a not so silky mousse.

Decent bottle of champagne by Scottish New Year standards......not quite a gravelly mouth feel but super-brutish. Some toast, lemon and decent acidity.....definitely quaffable according to the old man, who claims not to be drinking but it is one ahead of me...

Rich golden color, bready/toasty nose. Palate of lemon and pear flavors, great effervescence and bold but crisp clean finish. Paired well with a traditional surf & turf menu, offset some of the richness.
