Light straw, and more restrained in the nose , IMO, than previous vintages. On the nose, green apple, lime zest, and some plastic (very minor however). Very melon-y on the palate, crisp refreshing acidity, and excellent mouthfeel with a medium + finish. Medium + acidity, medium - body. Unfaulted, and above satisfactory in quality. Drink now through 2025.

A bit strong on the petrol, even for me, but otherwise nicely balanced.

I’ve never experienced a white with such saliva evaporating dryness- till this. Found that quality—tannins via stems?— is just too prominent & makes the other quite nicely done components, like it’s slate & apple notes, taste belittled & out of wack. What an odd bottle.

Peach, lemon and lime delight. Well done FLX wine. Will gain complexity for sure with bottle age.

Rkatsiteli is an old grape. Extremely old. It’s mainspring was Georgia and is worth knowing just how flexible and “survivable” these vines have been.
Here’s a cherry that O found on Wiki:
“This ancient vinifera originates in Georgia and is one of the oldest grape varieties.[1] In Georgia, clay vessels were found with seeds of Rkatsiteli grapes which date back to 3000 BC.”

The color is a lemony bit of gold. The nose is bright and laced with melon and touches of peach. The body is a rush of refreshing acidity that round out on the palate in a “zesty fashion” which stamps those refreshing flavors in the back of your mind.

Solid dry Riesling. Chiseled, racy style with bracing acidity. A tad one-dimensional, but nonetheless delicious and a worthy food companion.

Pear, apple, pithy lemon, peach, slate and hints of petrol. Electric acidity and great minerality. Good structure and length.
