Mineral density & rich, rich- Kabinett on ‘roids. White radish & flowers, lime pith, endive, all lingering forever. Chiseled in that Donhoff way, but soft & pliant too. A treat post summer holiday, ostensibly to counter my Jet lag, but really an excuse to drink Donnhoff on my own.

2019 vintage from magnum. Excellent example of the type with discreet, but welcome touch of sweetness. Nectarine, green apple, yellow apple, mango skin, rocks, honeysuckle, red pear. Great length, drank even better on the second day. This will definitely go the distance, especially in the large format. Thanksgiving 2021.

Too sweet for @Jennifer Jenkins….not this guy. Acidity provides great balance, with a nice minerality.

2022. I’m a huge Dönnhoff Riesling fan, but I had not seen this Niederhäuser Klamm Kabinett before. It had just the right amount of sweetness to pair with the embered scallop in citrus beurre blanc.

Ripe and honeyed, almost tropical fruit. A little touch of RS but the acid cuts right through and it drinks pretty dry.

Very nice but at this stage feels slightly reserved. Hint of sweetness which is expected and welcome. Nice intensity and depth. Great acid.
