Inviting nose, the cabernet sauvignon is clearly noticable, the nero d’avola (which plays the first violin) shows up in the mouthfeel. Plenty of cherry, tobacco and chocolate. Endless finish. Wow! Wow! Wow!

Not surprisingly, a very well made balanced wine from Donnafugata, classic currant and cassis from the Cab with a touch of spice and rusticity from the Nero Davola. This would be an ideal intro to the world of Sicilian wine for the enthusiastic off the beaten path indigenous varietal NOOB.
