Resilienza Beneventano Falanghina
Beneventano, Campania, Italy
Star bright yellow gold. Inviting nose of honeysuckle and Juicy Fruit. Firm acidity on entry to the medium full palate of honeysuckle, citrus rind, straw, and wet stone. Medium finish. Italian whites are the most underrated wines in the mainstream and Falanghina is among the most unjustly ignored. Body, acidity, and complexity on the palate make for a classic food-friendly wine that’s a great pair with classic white wine fare as well as a summer sipper. Drink now through 2023.

This gorgeous white blossoms in the glass to show a seductive mix of dried peaches, sweet herbal tea, hints of kiwi and spice. It floods the palate with oily richness, balanced by brisk acids with ripe peach and hints of mango with a lemon twist. The Donnachiara Resilienza doesn't miss a beat. $19.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, April 2020)

Apr 20th, 2020Honeysuckle, white peach, bright citrus (almost yuzu-esque), minerals, and more stone fruit to give it balance. Great value and intriguing.
