Just great. I quite like Bonny Doon's Cigar Volant but this is more better. (More precise and balanced.) yum

Slightly cloudy brick color with thin edges and short legs in the glass. Fun nose that’s definitely fruit forward with plenty of raspberries and cherries up front but the oak and smoky nature bring up the rear. Made up of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, Cinsault, and Counoise (five of the original thirteen CdP grapes) this grab bag is so reminiscent of a good Pinot. Light to medium bodied and round with some depth but this isn’t a wine that wants you to think. Loads of red fruit on the palate to go along with the bacon fat, black pepper, and floral touches. A bit too much alcohol up front but this certainly a fun bottle.

2010 Vintage. Enjoyed it the first day; lost too much fruit by the 2nd.

Great balance of fruit and acidity. Had it with a Moroccan dish: salmon, vegetables and grains with plenty of spice and it was delicious.
