Terrassen Smaragd Grüner Veltliner

Just ok, holding it's own with all the tapas dishes tonight.

Effervescent, slightly sweet. Served with Panko crusted pan seared Ahi. Nice compliment.

Usually a solid producer, this didn't show much smaragd character. Tasted like a decent federspiel.

I can never say too much about how wonderful Gruner is, and this one was fabulous. We served it with steak, alongside a chateauneuf du pape and a Barolo (!), and it held its own. This is the little wine that could. Delightful in every way.

Great example of Wachau Grüner, aromatic, crispy and clean, long pleasant finish.
