Leathery aromas but a bit harsh on the palate initially. After about an hour it become a bit rounder with red and black fruit. Given the pedigree, I expected more.
Update: after half the bottle sat for two days, it really mellowed and became an entirely different creature.

An affordable go-to of mine for years, this "Lafite" has fruity fresh aromas and a full-bodied structure; ruby red color with aromas of black cherries, raspberries, plums, and a hint of spice. Get the Reserve!

Definately harsh on the palate at the opening. But after an hour very nice, well balanced.
