Domaine Zind Humbrecht
Turckheim Pinot Gris
Pale lemon with aromas of stone fruits and nutty toasty mineral notes. On the palate flavors of ripe apple, pear and lemon curd with smoky notes. Balanced acidity, medium+ smooth finish ending with flinty mineral notes.

May 20th, 2021After 17 years it turned into this beauty: deep golden hue, green papaya, gingered apricot, yellow peach, honey, saffron, tons of Indian curry spices, Indian spiced butter, dried bay leaf, and wet stones. Finished long with the off dry honey musky notes well balanced with the phenolic bite, at moderate acidity. Paired well with our Turmeric Veggie Dal.

Apr 25th, 2021This is an outrageous entry-level wine. Deep golden color. The nose is fully developed- an absolute riot of peach, apricot, honey, ginger, pine forest, thyme,
toasted buttery brioche and spicy apple pie. Texture is fleshy and round, but showing terrific balance of viscous extract and acidic focus. It is simply impossible to conceive of this as valley floor fruit. With this kind of power, decadence and concentration it is simply the quintessential Zind Humbrecht wine. Thanksgiving in a bottle!

Awash with peach, mango pulp, apricot, tangerine, blanched nuts and lillies. Not quite as unctuous as some Alsace PGs, more drying and even slightly bitter. Lacks acid.

Mar 21st, 2021Nose of apricots and pineapple. Spices, pineapple, light honey, maybe vanilla and lots more. Just delicious. At $20, kinda shocked at how good this is.
