Birthday weekend is on going and it is spring again, at least on the nose of this delightful apperetife wine from Alsace! Light gold, explosive nose of fresh spring flowers and summer fruits, apricot, melon, sweet green plums. The wine is semi sweet, with fine acidity, lots of fruit and creamy texture. The finish is a bit mineral, but with lovely sweetness and fine acidity. My score 88, drink 2010-2017.

Study material, comparison of soils and minerality, great example from Alsace although not too impressed how it performed on the assessment, tart citrus, bright white flowers, underripe tropical fruit, a good amount of petrol, minerality is absolutely well defined and quite pronounced in both nose and palate.
