Excellent. Some gentle botrytis — honeyed— like deep buckwheat honey. But only moderate sweetness, balanced with gentle acid that’s impressive for gewurtz. Many of the signature florals deepened by candied ginger, spice, earthy fruit, carrot, pomelo, grapefruit. Lots of balance and poise, as well as spice!

A bit past it’s prime, showing a strong bitter, but really impressive for a 26 yo

Big, powerful, and intense. Interesting how these age. Needs food to temper it’s overt personality. I could smell this all day

2011 vintage. Rose, honey, and candied ginger. M acid, m/full bodied. Although there is a bit of R/S it finishes dry.

Brief notes and selected from my cellar by mistake, to be honest. A gorgeous nose of jasmine and lychee. Rich, luscious and unexpectedly sweet for 12.5 % alcohol. Those lychees are obvious on the palate. Barb tried this before I got home and it was a great match with a mature cheddar. I will leave tasting a 2nd bottle for several years.

Typical Gewurz effusiveness, oily, could use a touch more acid

Hands down best Gewürztraminer I've had. Musky and a little dusty, a manly Gewurz if you will. Structure and intensity are all impressive.
