Clos Häuserer Wintzenheim Riesling

Smells like pine sol. Amazing that it's still good at 13 years of age. But good is a relative term.

Starting to fade but still a wonderfully complex wine. Granny Smith apple cider, candied orange peel, botrytis, saline, orange blossom honey, caramelized cashew. Probably came off with a decent bit of sweetness when it was young, now the RS barely registers.

Vibrant, waxy, aromatic.

Weighty yet vibrant, almost dry, very complex (apricot, hazelnut, caraway, butter, lemon zest). Long finish and very satisfying. 1989 vintage.

Needs 6+ months to integrate.

Lithe, brisk acid, lovely, very young.

Stunning.

Bone dry - great aromatics

Retour aux fondamentaux. Toujours surpris par le perlant à l'ouverture.

Indice 2. Nice wine. Fairly powerful and full, good acidity, but would appreciate a bit more verve.
