The Mercurey appellation is located in the Burgundy region of France. 100% Pinot Noir, medium Ruby with aromas of ripe red fruits, spice and cedar notes. On the palate flavors of ripe cherry and blackerry with notes of cacao, spice and oak. Fine tannins, just starting to drink well. Tasting Sample!

Drank 7/11/19. Tasting event. Tasting pour.

Nose of black cherry and a touch of petrol. Lighter flavors of red cherry, raspberry, and earth. Well balanced, with medium tannins, and a a bit of darker fruit on the medium finish.

4/21/7/4/3+50=89 pts.

No sure the wine I am rating is a Pinot noir but you can see the picture of the bottle. I just opened it. Bay he different in an hour. I smell wood which I don’t associate with Pinot noir. But the fruit is so Pinot noir. Like i said I just opened it and poured a glass. I suspect that once it breathes for a little bit it will soften up.
